Installing Thai fonts under BaKoMa TeX 11.40

There are questions about using Thai fonts in BaKoMa TeX.

There is step by step instructions for installing TLWG Thai fonts:

  1. Load TDS package of TLWG Thai fonts from CTAN:
    http://mirrors.ctan.org/install/fonts/thai/fonts-tlwg.tds.zip
  2. Unpack it into C:\BaKoMa TeX\LOCAL
NOTE: You must see folders: doc, fonts, source, tex.
  3. Rebuild ls-R in C:\BaKoMa TeX\LOCAL
(Using 'Options / Common Settings / Directories' select $TEXMFLOCAL, click [Rebuild ls-R])
  4. Install all MAP files from the folder: C:\BaKoMa TeX\LOCAL\fonts\map\dvips\fonts-tlwg
(Using 'Options / Common Settings / Install Fonts' Click [Install DVIPS font MAP file ...])
NOTE: Do install for every MAP: nectec.map, nf.map, sipa.map, tlwg.map
  5. Check installation copying into test folder the file:
    C:\BaKoMa TeX\LOCAL\doc\fonts\fonts-tlwg\examples\teststd.tex
    See result PDF

This procedure is tested under BaKoMa TeX 11.40.

Fonts are displayed O'K.

Of cource, We can't recommend this way to typeset Thai books.
However, you can insert short Thai fragments into your UTF8 articles.
